Gutsy little performer,great for SACD playback too., February 12, 2012 This review is from: Yamaha NS-C310BL 2-Way Bass-Reflex Center Speaker - Each (Black) (Electronics) Choosing your centre speaker is the most important choice after your main fronts so I was compromising between a 4 ft long,8 inch high behemoth and ahhh nothing,so chose this little guy instead.I love SACD audio and Bluray movies and noticed the high frequencies in the specs and the fact it was designed for the latest and greatest audio formats.(And it fits in the cabinet.AND the missus didn't see it for a week after it arrived,so it passed the discreet test beautifully.)After running it in for a week or so it loosened up and sounds surprisingly good.Transformers on BD is a great test and deep robot voices and effects passing thru are fast and clean with no holes in the sound between mains and centre.Sweet. SACD junkies will love multi-channel music thru this centre as the sounds are CLEARLY defined without sounding mechanical.Fingers sliding on guitar strings and vocals etc sound unreal and 'I'm there' at the studio like.The Pixies on BD sounds and looks awesome.It sends out the... Movie dialog sounds great and the voices no longer sound buried behind sound effects and music. I am very impressed with the quality for the price.
