Audio "quality" is ultimately a subjective notion that depends greatly on personal taste, room characteristics and recording quality, among other things. While this review represents my own experience with the G17, prospective buyers would be wise to test this system in person, with their own music, before drawing any definite conclusions.
I purchased this unit as soon as it became available. I'd been looking for a complete, compact audio solution for my NYC apartment and, being a satisfied owner of other Klipsch audio products, I decided to try it out. The room I wanted to use it in is small, maybe 10' x 12', so I though the G17 may be the right size for what I needed. Basically, I had three criteria: sound quality, physical size, and input/connectivity options. While the size of the unit is certainly compact, it was the sound and lack of input options that ultimately led me to return the product for something different altogether.

I was anxiously waiting for this product to arrive and when it did arrive it was an awesome surprise. I loved how pretty and cool this product looked and the packaging was great. The setup was not an issue at all but except the blue light (wireless signal) was always blinking slowly. Even with that blinking blue light, I was able to wirelessly sync my PC and macbook pro without any issues. The sound from this baby is very loud with its awesome bass for my 1200 sqrft apartment...lucky me the neighbors didn't complain. I could hear the beats and other subtle music elements very clearly. I have seen and tested the bower and wilkins zeppelin...which is no match to Klipsch G-17 quality in looks and music. But again that's my preference. However, I did have one complaint...this unit didn't work properly with my iPhone 4S. The music would play for few seconds and then abruptly stop and then play again. As an audiophile, I find the sound quality, including bass, to be outstanding for its small size, and the output is fine for a large bedroom, where it resides. An iPad supplies the input, utilizing Apple Lossless files. I had a small amount of difficulty in the setup using the supplied iPad app, which was quickly and easily corrected by contacting Klipsch. I have an Airport Express in the room for signal boost, which seems to almost completely avoid the occasional very short signal drop-offs that occur. Of course, it's hard to tell if the iPad or G-17 is responsible for these. I suspect the iPad, as they usually occur when opening other programs while listening to music. I think that the poor volume output that some people have experienced may be related to the files that they are listening to, as I have found that the inherent sound level of my various lossless tracks/albums can vary...
